In Episode 2 of our podcast, we talk about the SAD diet (Standard American Diet) and fast-food and how many health issues arise from eating this way. But, that doesn’t mean we plant-passionate people don’t yearn to have some of those flavors back in our lives. So, we thought we’d have some fun and re-create some of the popular menu items from a few of the top fast-food restaurants, the SmartyPlants way! This fun meal plan will take you back to those carefree days of your youth—driving around with friends in your parent’s car and hitting the drive-throughs—McDonald's, Taco Bell, Arby’s and Kentucky Fried Chicken. There’s nothing like a little nostalgia to get us all warm and fuzzy, and we’re hoping this meal plan will do the same for you. We hope that you have as much fun and satisfaction making and enjoying these meals as we had creating them! This Week’s Recipes: ️KFC Bowl Copycat And, your 4 brand new components: |

McDonald's McRib Copycat McDonald’s famous McRib sandwich debuted in 1981, when we were in middle school. Oddly enough, it actually looked like a miniature rack of ribs! Very odd, for a sandwich, but it was smothered in tangy barbecue sauce and served on a hoagie roll topped with pickles and onions and people loved it. Well, the McRib sandwich still makes an appearance every once in a while and people still seem to go crazy for it, so we thought we’d bring you back to your childhood with our copycat plant-powered SP version of the beloved McRib. This sweet, smoky and tangy BBQ sandwich will really hit the spot when you get a hankering for BBQ….and a little nostalgia. |

Taco Bell Copycat Mexican Pizza Everyone loves tacos. Everyone loves pizza. Mexican Pizza is not actually Mexican. It’s the brilliant result of Taco Bell marrying the two together to make their famous Mexican Pizza. We took their idea and did the same thing, with plant-powered ingredients! We start with a crispy double crust, add a rich and zesty Taco Sauce, our Taco Crumbles, a creamy and smoky cheese sauce and some fresh toppings. The adults and kids are going to love this! Crunch into one today! |

Arby's Red Ranch Sauce Arby’s serves a Red Ranch Sauce with their Beef n’ Cheddar, so we thought—why not come up with our own copycat version of this sweet and tangy sauce? It’s the perfect compliment to the cheesy goodness of our Arby’s Copycat Beef n’ Cheddar Sandwich. This light, slightly smoky BBQ sauce is great for spreading on sandwiches and even dipping your fries into! If you have a squeezy bottle, fill it up with this zesty little winner and keep it in your fridge. |

Mexican Pizza Sauce This thick, rich, and zesty sauce resembles classic Enchilada Sauce and adds just the right amount of zing and flavor to our Mexican Taco Pizza. But, you don’t have to stop there….you can also drizzle it on tacos, burritos, tostadas, or taco salads. |
